INDIA: MONKS, TRIBES & RHINOS I

Posted January 20, 2008

Less than 2 weeks until we go to India, getting very exciting now. I have not been to India since 1999, when I spent 8 months travelling there. It was my first time outside Europe and a huge, and very exciting adventure that really established the traveller in me. This time of course will be in a very different capacity, which makes it all new, and of course the area is one I haven’t been to before, and really looks like a gem. This is my first time writing a blog, so I guess I will just figure out how to do it as I go…

6 days to go… still loads to do, but confident we’ll get everything done in time, even if it means staying up this entire week! Having been a regular visitor to India since childhood, this trip is totally different… exploring a part of India largely unseen by the outside world, which is so unique from the other states in this fabulously diverse country. I’m sure it’s going to be a steep learning curve, but a challenge both Dave and I are relishing…
