Wildlife of India

Join one of our small group or private wildlife tours and spot India's BIG SIX - tigers, lions, leopards, rhino, buffalo and elephants ... and much more.

Why do a wildlife tour in India

India has some of the most diverse wildlife on earth and we run a number of small group and tailormade wildlife tours focusing on iconic national parks and tiger reserves as well as lesser-visited parks in more remote parts of the country. It is easy to see why India inspired Rudyard Kipling’s Jungle Book. Whether by jeep, elephant, boat or on foot, a wildlife adventure in India is a thrilling experience. Roam through thick jungles, mangroves and sub-tropical forests, and there is a good chance you will come face-to-face with the wide spectrum of animals that call India their home – from wild elephants, spotted deer and majestic tigers to one-horned rhinos, long-snouted gharials and even lions! Joining one of our small group wildlife tours is a great experience but we can also arrange wildlife extensions to regular group tours or customise a wildlife tour to suit your requirements.

Tiger tours in India

On an Indian safari there is probably no bigger thrill than seeing a tiger in the wild, whether this is your first time on a wildlife tour or if you are a repeat visitor to India. We have suggested some fantastic tiger tours below showcasing some of India's premier tiger reserves.

Tigers of Kanha & Bandhavgarh [10 days]

The two most popular parks in the state of Madhya Pradesh, Bandhavgarh and Kanha boast the highest density of Royal Bengal tigers in the world. With a minimum of three full days in each park and expert naturalists on hand to assist you, there are excellent chances of spotting this majestic cat. Besides tigers, the park is also home to many other mammals and exotic birds. With fabulous jungle lodges and cuisine to return to after a day in the jungle, this tour is highly recommended for your Indian wildlife adventure.

Tigers of Tadoba & Pench [10 days]

With fewer tourists than most parks, off the beaten track Tadoba is now fast establishing itself as one of the prime places to see tigers. Excellent sightings are reported regularly and accommodation options have also greatly improved. Nearby Pench, the inspiration behind Rudyard Kipling’s Jungle Book, is a haven of tranquility and ideal tiger spotting territory. Its unique landscape with the river Pench and numerous islets is guaranteed to make your safari even more memorable.

Conveniently located between Jaipur and Agra, Ranthambore is a popular tiger reserve with regular tiger sightings and a host of other impressive wildlife. For bird lovers, nearby Bharatpur is one of the best bird sanctuaries in India. Corbett National Park was the birthplace of Project Tiger and known for good sightings as well as over fifty species of mammals. Set amongst the hills of Uttarakhand and accommodation within the park itself, this is a safari experience like no other.
