Details of how the trust scheme works are shown below.

What happens if you or your suppliers become insolvent?

For almost all bookings we have to pay our suppliers in advance in order to secure services such as: flights, accommodation, transportation, safari permits, cabins on cruises, and so on. Whenever we make advance payments, Supplier Failure Insurance (SFI) and/or Scheduled Airline Failure Insurance (SAFI) is automatically purchased via the PTS trust scheme, so if any supplier in the chain were to become insolvent, insurance cover would already be in place to protect any funds paid out and your monies will be fully recoverable.

Are you compliant with the Package Travel Regulations?

A lot of due diligence is done before allowing companies to become members of PTS. As a member, PTS confirms that we are completely Package Travel Regulations compliant. This ensures that you, the consumer, are protected financially and legally by the Package Travel Regulations when booking a package holiday.

A package holiday simply consists of two or more elements (such as accommodation and flights) booked under one price. It’s important for you to be aware of this because it gives you the assurance that you are then protected by the Package Travel Regulations if anything should go wrong.

Under the Package Travel Regulations, all payments that leave the trust account early to pay suppliers and airlines are also covered by Supplier Failure Insurance (SFI) or Scheduled Airline Failure Insurance (SAFI), so the monies are protected every step of the way.

If you have any queries about the scheme you can visit the PTS website or call them on 020 7190 9988.
