The Holy Land is one that inspires passions, legends and, of course, controversy.  Jerusalem is probably the holiest place on earth, where the three Abrahamic faiths converge – Judaism, Christianity and Islam. A glance at a map reveals names that seem more fantasy than actual geographic places – the Sea of Galilee, the Dead Sea, and Jericho; Nazareth, Bethlehem, and the river Jordan.

For those interested in current affairs a visit to Arafat’s tomb in Ramallah, the Golan Heights overlooking Syria and Hebron, where both Jewish settlers and Palestinians live can, can be quite the eye-opener.

Why travel with us ?

At Travel The Unknown we have staff who have travelled extensively in the Holy Land to design unique and thought-provoking tours; to bring you face-to-face with the people whose stories make the country come alive. Our tours visit the iconic sites of this ancient land, but strive to do more - to show you how people live, hear their stories and delve into the contrasts, contradictions and complexity of this tiny corner of the world that so hogs the world’s news.
