Encounter the ancient Apatani tribes of Arunachal Pradesh, Chill out in bamboo huts on Majuli Island, the world's largest river island, Learn how tea is grown in Assam's famous tea estates, Spot the fabled unicorn rhinos on elephant-back and other stunning wildlife in Kaziranga National Park, and Reflect on this great land at Akshardham Temple, the world's largest Hindu complex. Short Itinerary
Day 1 Fly from London to Delhi. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 2 Relaxation 'optional half day tour of Delhi. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 3 Fly to Guwahati, jeep to Eco-Camp at Nameri. Overnight in Eco-Camp.
Day 4 Game walk in Nameri National Reserve, tea estate visit, river rafting. Drive to Dirang. Overnight in Dirang.
Day 5 Visit Old Dirang, walk through Sangti Valley. Overnight at Dirang.
Day 6 Drive through Sela Pass (14000 feet), and onwards to Tawang. Overnight in Tawang.
Day 7 Visit Tawang Monestary, the world's second largest Buddhist monastery. Then onto a high altitude lake, Gompa and War Memorial. Overnight in Tawang.
Day 8 Drive through Sela Pass to Bomdila. Overnight in Bomdila.
Day 9 Drive to Sessa Orchid Sanctuary, forest walk, drive to Bhalukpong. Overnight in Bhalukpong.
Day 10 Drive to Ziro, visit tribal village, overnight in Ziro.

 
Day 11 Drive to Daporijo, camp by Lida village.
Day 12 Drive to Along, overnight in Along.
Day 13 Day to relax around Along. Optional visits to tribal villages, suggested walks.
Overnight in Along.
Day 14 Drive to fishing village, overnight in fishing village.
Day 15 Drive and ferry to Majuli, the world's largest river island. Overnight in Majuli.
Day 16 Explore Majuli. Overnight in Majuli.
Day 17 Drive to Kaziranga National Park, afternoon jeep safari. Overnight in Kaziranga.
Day 18 Elephant-back safari for rhino-spotting. Optional jeep safari and village visit in afternoon. Overnight in Kaziranga.
Day 19 Relaxing start. Drive to Guwahati. Overnight in Guwahati.
Day 20 Fly to Delhi, optional temple visit or relax. Fly to London.
