Tour description

Set between the world`s two mightiest mountain ranges - the Himalayas and the Karakoram - Ladakh will almost literally take your breath away. After a day in Delhi we fly into picturesque Leh valley at an altitude of 3500m. Relax and acclimatise by wandering through local Tibetan markets. Over the next few days we visit some of Ladakh`s most spectacular Buddhist monasteries, and we drive to Nubra valley via the stunning Khardung La Pass, the world`s highest motorable road at 5600m. Take a thrilling ride in the silver sand dunes on the rare Himalayan double-humped camel and spend a morning whitewater rafting along the magnificent River Zanskar. Finally, we camp by shimmering Lake Pangong, a high altitude lake dividing India and China, defined by its deep blue colour variation.
